We are here to assist you, whether or not you are employed. Your income has no bearing on the assistance you receive.

Please bring identification for
everyone in the household.

It may be any of the following:

  • Driver’s License
  • Passport
  • Health Card
  • Nova Scotia Provincial Identification
  • School Identification
  • Immigration Papers
  • Cheque Stub
  • Birth Certificate
  • Lease Agreement
  • Status Card
  • Permanent Resident Card
  • Utility Bill
  • Photo of any of the above

Warehouse Regular
Food Service:

  • Enter the building from the side door in the alley at 580 Prince Street, Truro.
  • Take a number from the board and have a seat.
  • Let a staff or volunteer know you are here for your first time.
  • We will assist you with filling out a registration form. All information collected at the Colchester Food Bank is kept confidential. The information collected will be entered into our software and non-identifying data is shared with Feed Nova Scotia and Food Banks Canada for statistical purposes. This helps us provide better service for our clients and community.
  • Next a volunteer will help you with selecting food items for your grocery order.
  • Our dedicated volunteers will fill your order based on the items you have selected and meet you at the back door with a grocery cart with your items.
  • We encourage you to bring your own reusable bags.

Client Choice Market Food Service:

  • Please call ahead to make an appointment.
  • At your appointment time enter the building from the side door in the alley at 580 Prince Street.
